A Need For Prayer

This evening I’ve read several disturbing post regarding the war between Israel and Gaza. In fact, I can’t seem to stop crying! It just saddens me when I look at these pictures of children who are frightened and are truly the “real” victims caught in this war. I understand these things must take place, but, it still breaks my heart. The Bible teaches we are to “always” stand and bless Israel and this I will continue to do. But I also ask that each says a prayer. A prayer which is a “true” reflection of the Christian Gospel. A prayer for Israel, the United States, a prayer for the children and innocent victims, and a prayer lavishing the enemies with love.

For Jesus teaches in Matthew 5:43-48;

You have heard that it was said, Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers,what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Stay true to the Gospel, follow in the footsteps of Jesus and pray you are found worthy. And remember, we are “all” children of God regardless of our culture or religious preference!

  1. O my goodness..i have been getting teary-eyed all day too! I’ve been so upset..thinking of the children..and thinking about God looking down upon His creations…all of us from Adam and Eve…all of the bloodshed..and how disappointed and sad He must be. God bless you Robin.

  2. In prayer for these children and all. Praying for your tears to turn into joy! Remember Jesus also wept. Keep in mind beloved, God wins in the end, we’re on His time. We’re just going to have to hold on through all these trials and tribulations until Jesus’ returns. “Chin Up!” as Charlotte would say. :-)
